In this private lesson, you will learn a process called bundle dyeing which involves extracting the dye directly onto fabric. This is a great introduction to natural dyes and is easier and more accessible than immersion dyeing—making it ideal to do with groups, including kids. You will learn about ethical foraging for local dye plants and how to pretreat your fabric for the best results. We will go through the process of mordanting and dyeing a scarf using local plants.
Location: Local Earth Studio (6 miles outside Bozeman)
Time and Duration: This is a 2 hour session. After your purchase I will email you to schedule a time.
