In this in-depth 2-day workshop, you will learn all about natural dyeing and the chemistry behind creating permanent color on fabric using locally foraged and homegrown plants.

We are beyond excited to host guest artist Danielbi Perdomo who is a Contemporary Dance Creator, Dancer, and Educator.

Piso Movil is a training system created by the Contemporary Dance Company Cortocinesis. In this technique, the floor is the direct contact the body has in motion. In the body-floor relationship, we will find certain areas of study such as the use of the upper and lower extremities, the connection among the joints, the density resulting from the interaction of the body with the floor. While moving, the quest is to find a flow by picturing the body parts as a whole and not as isolated parts. These connections allow the body to go from vertical to horizontal directions continuously and indefinitely creating an organic motion.
