Home (a poem)

Obstacles come
to a road already mapped out—
smoothed by our innermost knowing.

Small acts of kindness
arrive as encouragement,

eventually leading us
to a Home—
full of beauty and grace
softening from an
unexpected kiss on the cheek.

We’re surrounded by water
a flow that can sweep us away in an instant
pulling us into her depths
and arising with a refreshed vision—

a deeper understanding
that leads us closer
to each moment,
unfolding in its purity.

Emerging into blissful awareness.
